I can't recommend Joe and the team at Joinery Solutions SW highly enough. From start to finish, they provided an exceptional service. They crafted and installed beautiful bespoke Accoya sash windows for my home, and the quality of the workmanship was outstanding. Every detail was finished to an incredibly high standard, and the new windows have completely transformed the look and character of my property. Throughout the entire project, the team were professional, reliable, friendly, and respectful of my home, always leaving the work area clean and tidy at the end of each day. I needed to get some traditional windows (casement and sash) refurbished and a quite unusual hopper window replaced in my grade 2 listed property in South East Devon. I consulted several providers and chose Joe’s company based on his experience and my first impressions of him. It has been a lengthy process as listed building consent was required and then a lengthy order process as these guys are very busy but I was happy to wait as I always prefer a great job rather than a rushed one. Joe kept me informed throughout the work and provided photographs and commentary as they completed each window. I had to have my sash windows repaired. The ropes had broken, the weights dropped off and they were stuck with paint. I had no idea what the fix entailed. After explaining the issue and sending photos an appointment was immediately arranged and a quote followed. The person that arrived to do the fix is extremely friendly and explained what needed to be done and how and why. He is very conscientious and worked extremely hard and well. When problems arose he didn't just ignore them he explained what was wrong and how it needed to be fixed. He re-touched with paint and also cleaned up after as best he could. Given the excellent results of our previous project with Joe and his team we had no hesitation in approaching them again. This time round involved inserting two stained glass panels which had been in our original front door, into a new door made by Joe, Brian and the team, without the double glazing impacting the look of the stained glass from the front. We were thrilled with the results, which again exceeded our expectations given the complexity of the task. We now have a warm porch and the appearance of the stained glass panels has been enhanced by their work. Very impressed with the professionalism, skill, reliability and follow up services of Joinery Solutions. We had some potentially beautiful sash windows, three of which are bowed, which had had years of DIY repairs so did not stay open, open, close properly, have furniture etc. Due to Grade 2 listing, we needed them renovated. It was not our cheapest option (Joe was transparent about the costs from the off) but feel it was definitely money well spent; we can't be more thrilled with the difference that has been made. Joe and the team at Joinery Solutions have just completed an outstanding job for us. It has been a pleasure to deal with them from beginning to end. We have 10 original windows in our late Georgian house; 8 large sashes and 2 french windows. They were in great need of restoration and repair and we had spent a long time looking for the right company. Joe's thorough examination of the job and detailed quotation helped us to choose them, together with some local examples of their work. The windows were carefully removed, repaired in the workshops and re-fitted - one-by-one to minimise the impact on the house. Each finished window was a revelation and the quality of their hanging and balancing is excellent. This is the only time I have written a review, I have never wanted the responsibility of recommending a company that might then let people down. However, in this case I have no such concern. We employed Joinery Solutions to hang 11 internal oak veneered doors in an old cottage with irregular door frames. Over several days we met four of the team and their approach to us and their work was always the same. They were courteous, friendly and trustworthy, we had no concerns about leaving them to their work whilst we went out. Their work was done to a consistently high standard and at the end of each day they left the house hovered and tidy. Finally, I feel that I have been treated fairly regarding the fee charged for the work undertaken. Joe and his team are professional and reliable and I have no hesitation in recommending them. Joe and his team fitted a whole set of new wooden sash windows to our Devon cottage and they were fantastic from start to finish. We visited them first in their workshop - no problem. The windows were then all in on time and they look just great. He also managed to colour match the windows to match the outside trim which we are very pleased about. And he fixed our door. After a long drawn out saga trying to have our Victorian sash windows replaced, we were eventually fortunate enough to get Joe and his team to do ours. Today we have received our Feature Oak barn style front doors with side glass panels made by Joe & his team and I can honestly say they are amazing! Quality is 10 out of 10. Joe and his colleagues did a great job renewing our windows - replacing some failed double-glazed units, and renewing some sash windows. They were helpful in discussing options available to us, and in fitting round some other work we had going on, and getting the job finished to the schedule we needed. On site, they came when expected, worked discreetly, delivered very good-looking results, and scrupulously tidied up after themselves when the job was done. We have just completed the first stage of our sash window replacement on our property using Joinery Solutions. The windows he fabricates are made out of Accoya wood which is a great material for Sash windows. Joe and his team have installed a lot of beautiful new sash windows at the back of my house, to replace old, defective and ugly UPVC units. We are so pleased with our window. The 2 guys who didn’t fitting were polite and clean and tidy and regularly checked in with me to make sure I was happy. The window is lovely and they have done a great job fitting it. Plaster work is still to be done by a lime plasterer so pictures make it look unfinished but this will be resolved once that is completed and they were careful to minimise damage to the plaster regardless. When you live in a conservation area and decide that you need to replace five 3.25m x 1.4m sash windows there is always going to be an 'ouch' moment when you first open the quotation! However 8 months later, after enduring a cold and windy spring/summer and now autumn, we now count our blessings that we chose Joinery Solutions SW to fulfil the contract. It was important that the new windows matched the exact style of the original ones and at the outset we were told that these would be the largest windows they have manufactured to date. However after a good number of site visits to double and triple check all the measurements those challenges just meant that the whole team worked harder to give us 100% satisfaction with the finished article. Our new windows look superb and function brilliantly, to the extent that we now consider the overall cost as very good value.
